Certification Equivalence

Staff of the EU Institutions who have already achieved a PM² certification through the EC’s internal CoEPM² training and certification programme are entitled to receive a certification equivalence from the PM² Alliance.

It’s a simple process and its free. 

PM² Certified staff receive the PM² Essentials Certification

Agile@EC Certified staff receive the PM² Agile Certification

PM² Practitioners receive the PM² Advanced Certification

Certification Equivalence Process Guide

  1. Introduction

    This particular guide applies only to staff of the EU Institutions who have already achieved a PM² certification through the EC’s internal CoEPM² training and certification programme and are entitled to receive a certification equivalence from the PM² Alliance.

    The guide provides information regarding the precise steps you need to take in order to claim your certification equivalence through the PM² Alliance website.

     

  2. How to claim your certification equivalence
    • Open an Internet Browser, load PM² Alliance and click on Certification, which appears at the top right of the web page.
    • Click on PM² Certifications.
    • Click on Certification Equivalence.

    In this page you will find a list with the corresponding Certifications.

    • Click on Apply here to obtain your PM² Alliance certification for free!, that appears on the bottom of the page.
    • Fill your personal details (Title*, First Name*, Last Name*, Organisation Name*, Work Email*, Phone, Country*, Certification Obtained*, Certification ID*, Data Obtained*) in the application form. 

    IMPORTANT: It is required to fill in all mandatory fields.

    • Click on the box that appears next to the statement I accept to provide a copy of my certificate upon request and then click on Apply.

    Soon after completing your application, we will send you an e-mail to inform you that we have received your request.

    Your PM² Certification Equivalent will be provided to you within 15 days of your application.

    When the process is complete, you will receive an email that will include a password in order to create your profile on the exam platform of PM² EU. There you will be able to view, download and manage further your certificate. You will be receiving this email every 15 days, until the procedure has been completed.

  3. How to view your certificate

    To view your certificate, you first have to create a profile on the exam platform of PM² EU by choosing the option Create an account.

    After successfully activating and logging in to your account, you may view your certificate in one of the following three ways.

    1st Way:

    • Click on Exam History that appears on the left side menu.
    • Click on the particular exam for which you wish to view the certificate.
    • Click on View Certificate.
    • You will be redirected to a web page where you will be able to view your certificate.

    2nd Way:

    • Click on Dashboard or on Available Exams.
    • Click on View Result at the particular exam for which you wish to view the certificate.
    • Click on View Certificate.
    • You will be redirected to a web page where you will be able to view your certificate.

    3rd Way:

    • Click on Dashboard.
      Scroll down to the bottom of your screen.
    • Click on View Certificate at the particular exam for which you wish to view the certificate.
    • You will be redirected to a web page where you will be able to view your certificate. 
  4. How to save your Certificate

    NOTE: You have to log in to your account in order to save and/or share your certificate. If you are not logged in, you can only view it.

    • View your certificate in one of the three ways described in the previous chapter.
    • To save your certificate as pdf, click on PDF.
    • To save your certificate as an image, click on Image.
  5. How to share your Certificate on social media platforms
    • View your certificate in one of the three ways described in How to view your Certificate.

    • Click on Share and the corresponding logo to share your certificate on social media platforms (Facebook and/or Twitter).

  6. How to share your Certificate on LinkedIn
    • View your certificate in one of the three ways described in How to view your Certificate.

    • Click on Share and the corresponding logo to share your certificate on LinkedIn.

    • If you are not signed in your account, you will be redirected to LinkedIn’s sign in web page. Fill in your account’s Email or Phone and Password and click on Sign in.

    To share your certificate in a post, you have to perform the following steps:

    1. Click on Share in a post.
    2. Write your comments in the corresponding field.
    3. Help your contacts see your post by adding the appropriate hashtags. Click on Add hashtag and type the hashtag you want. If you want to upload an image, video or text along with your post, click on the corresponding icon and attach the file you want.
    5. When your post is ready, click on Post.

    To share your certificate in a private message, you have to perform the following steps:

    • Click on Send as private message.
    • Type the name of the recipient you wish to send your certificate to, at the field Search for message recipients.
    • Write the content of your message in the corresponding field.
    • Click on Send.
  7. How to add your Certificate to your LinkedIn profile as accreditation
    • Click on the Me icon that appears at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
    • Click on View Profile.
    • If you have previously added a certificate, scroll down to the Licenses and Certifications section and click on Add.
    • If you have never added a certificate, you have to perform the following steps:
    1. Click on Add profile section in the right rail, in order to add a Licenses and Certifications section.
    2. Click on Background.
    3. Click on the Add icon next to Licenses and Certifications.
    • Fill in the name of your certificate, which can be found at the top of it.
    • Fill in the Issuing Organization (PM² Alliance).

    NOTE: Please be careful not to write PM2 instead of PM².

    • If your certificate does not expire click on the box next to This credential does not expire.
    • If your certificate expires, select the corresponding month and year, which can be found at the left of your certificate under the title Reevaluation date.
    • Select the corresponding month and year of your certificate’s issue date, which can be found at the left of your certificate.
    • Fill in your certificate’s Credential ID in the corresponding field, which can be found at the left of your certificate, under the title Certification number.
    • Copy and paste your certificate’s Credential URL, which is your certificate’s link. You can find it on the PM² Center website, by clicking on Exam History, the name of the corresponding certificate and the choice View Certificate.
    • Once you have completed the entire process, click on Save.
