Foreword

Findings have all helped to expand and enhance our understanding of how and why people behave as they do and what can influence them.

Behavioral insights give us a powerful set of principles, which can be used to design change interventions.

Many of our choices and decisions are not the result of active decision making, but often influenced by unconscious and automatic thinking due to the physical, social and economic environments.

Thus, people don’t behave according to the model. This is the fault of the model, not the fault of the world. People can be nudged to change by designing the proper “Choice Architecture” during the Project Management that encourage them to act in the most effective way.

“Change the Context, do not try to change the Mind!”

Objectives

Our goal is not only to depict you the foundation of understanding behavior but also to provide you with the tools to effectively change it with proper interventions. Recent findings and research and real-life nudges will be introduced. Upon completion, you will get a course certification to reflect the knowledge and skills you have learned.

“Expect to think differently!”

Description

The masterclass is structured as an intense course, so as you to convert findings and insights into behavioral change.

Nudges are an effective way to influence people’s behavior;thus delivering big impacts in the workplace, without restricting freedom of choice. The application of nudge management is increasing steadily, both in the private and public sector.

While you will get an holistic understanding of the theories underpinning nudging and behavioural science, the main objective of this masterclass is to facilitate the practical application of them in Project Management. How to design and apply effective nudges in practice.

Through the coherent presentation of relevant frameworks, you will learn how to develop such effective behavior interventions (nudges).

Make the leap from theory to applied Behavioral Science.

Throughout case studies, theories, methods and tools will be presented to you, in order to be able to facilitate nudges from the beginning to end of a project.

Participants will experience the systematic and evidence-based development and implementation of nudges in designing behavior’s change environments.

During the Masterclass, you will receive relevant course material and after the course, support is provided.

“Make a big impact in your workplace!”

ABOUT THE PM² BASIC CERTIFICATION

The PM² Basic Certification is a Level-1 certification and an obvious choice for anyone who wishes to start their journey in project management with a basic project management certification. It is designed to confirm candidates’ basic understanding of general concepts of the PM² Methodology. The certification exam tests the level of the candidates’ understanding mainly on the what and when of the PM² Methodology, and secondarily on the who and how. The exam questions are based on the four pillars of PM² and the PM² Mindsets, focusing more on Lifecycle and Artefacts and less on Processes, Governance and Mindsets.

For candidates to achieve the certification they must be familiar with theses PM² concepts at an adequate level so that they will be able to follow the motions of a PM² project and communicate effectively with PM² team members and Project Managers.

ABOUT THE PM² METHODOLOGY

PM² is the standard Project Management Methodology of the European Commission custom developed to fit the specific needs, culture and constraints of EU Institutions. It aims to facilitate the effective management of a project’s complete lifecycle, and increase the quality of the project management process and project results. It incorporates elements from a wide range of globally accepted project management best practices as well as European Commission’s operational experience from many projects. PM² is a light and easy to implement methodology suitable for any type of project.

The European Commission has published PM² with an open and free license for anyone to use for the management of their projects, with a focus on projects run within the EU Institutions or funded by EU programmes. As such, working knowledge of the PM² Methodology becomes essential for anyone participating in such projects.
